2016 RUNDOWN

2016 RUNDOWN

I’ll be the first one to admit it, I’m not the biggest connoisseur of movies.  I like what I like, and don’t watch enough movies to comment on the rest.  I also much prefer watching DVDs than heading out to the cinema so I find it so useful and easy now that I can get DVDs sent to my house using for-sale.com.
This year has been a pretty good year for movies so far.

Here’s my rundown on movies from 2016 that are definitely worth a watch, and some I haven’t yet seen but am excited about!

  1. The Secret Life of Pets
Exactly what we’ve always hoped happens when we leave pets at home.

  2. The Jungle Book
Perfectly nostalgic, but also a completely new retelling.

  3. Sausage Party
    Hilarious.  The perfect stoner comedy.

  4. Suicide Squad.
Nowhere near as good as I hoped, but still worth watching even if it’s just for Margot Robbie and Will Smiths performances as Harley Quinn and Headshot.

  5. Deadpool
Ryan Reynolds. Bad ass. Smart ass. Great ass.

  6. Finding Dory.
I’m sure I wasn’t the only one to cry during this... right?

  7. Central Intelligence
Way funnier than I expected.  Stands up to the hype it got.

  8. Zootropolis
High quality animation with great voice actors and a beautiful message about living together in harmony.

  9. Captain America: Civil War.
If you’re a fan of the Marvel series then you’ll love the latest addition.

  10. The Girl on the Train
Not quite as good as the book, but if you haven’t got round to reading the book then definitely watch the film.

  11. Kubo and the Two Strings.
Gorgeously animated with a beautiful story about love between a mother and her sons.

And the films that haven’t been released yet.

  1. Fantasic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

  2. Rogue One: A Star Wars story

  3. Dr Strange

  4. Passengers

  5. Assassin’s Creed
